The answer is no, Nutella is not vegan as it’s made of powdered milk. Moreover, it’s unhealthy, as it contains palm oil.
So, what do you think of a nice recipe to replace the unhealthy but so delicious treat Nutella?
This recipe is quick to prepare, use less than 5 ingredients and is SUPER yummy!
My friend Tamila had done it and shared with me how she did it, I changed some little things according to what I had in my kitchen and it was just FABULOUS!
It’s especially good if you are hosting some vegan guests and you want to put something special in their welcome basket, as it doesn’t contain any animal products.

Fabulous plant-based homemade Nutella
- 140 g hazelnuts (roasted)
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 3 dates
- 50 ml soy milk (or any other plant-based milk)
1. Roast in a pan the hazelnuts
2. In a blender, put the rest of the ingredients
3. Add the roasted hazelnuts to the blender
4. Wait for 5 minutes to make it a bit softer
6. Save it in a glass jar for breakfast
